If you missed "The Gift,"
PFPI annual banquet, you
missed a fantastic evening.
God orchestrated the entire
event. Many guests said,
"The Holy Spirit was so
evident here tonight."
What a delightful evening
with 218 in attendance.
Each year, we learn a bit more of what works best. Perhaps
one day, we will get it ALL right!
Several guests commented that Dave Dorty, the featured speaker, was the highlight of the evening. Dave gave a
powerful message describing life confined to a prison cell. His testimony of his first encounter with "prayer war-
riors" had guests rolling with laughter. He described what a "prayer warrior" should look like and his amazement
when he encountered volunteers at a Prayer Warriors For Prisoners worship service. Dave's eye opening message
made a life changing impact on many guests.
God blessed the ministry with 17 new monthly "champions" who made pledges for a year. This will help tre-
mendously and we praise God for the faithfulness of these folks and everyone else who
gave so generously that evening. The goal is not reached as yet but giving has in-
creased significantly in a troubled economy. Through PFPI champions, God continues
to provide, making it possible to reach thousands of prisoners with the love of His Son.
On the donation forms, I failed to leave a place to sign up to pray for prisoners or
participate in the Christmas Card Outreach. That option is still available and the Card
ministry is now rolling. Rick contacted chaplains across the country with sign-up sheets
for prisoners to receive cards. Each year, the number of prisoners requesting cards
grows. This creates more need for volunteers to step up and meet the demand with the
GIFT of cards for prisoners. Please reply on the enclosed form if you want to help. If
you signed up already, please pass the
form to someone else.
Card parties are wonderful ways to involve churches and
groups in a Christmas mission project. Men and women partic-
ipate. Everyone has fun and thousands of lives are impacted.
Rick and I try to attend as many as possible but you need to
contact us ASAP if you want us to attend your party. The calen-
dar will fill up fast.
Thank you again for your faithfulness and support. Please pray
for the prison ministries and other projects. Your prayers are so ap-
preciated.

If you missed "The Gift," PFPI annual banquet, you
missed a fantastic time. I can say that because God
completely orchestrated the entire event and one of
the things I heard many say was, "The Holy Spirit
was so evident here tonight!" The weather was
perfect, the food excellent, the decor breathtaking,
and our main speaker, Dave Dorty, incredible. What
a delightful evening. Once again, God gave us the
guaranteed number of guests, 218. This completely
amazes the hotel staff. Last year when the guarantee
was 150 and we had 150 in the midst of that horrible
ice storm, they scratched heads and said, "This
NEVER happens!" What a blessing to tell them that
with GOD, nothing is impossible.
If you were at the banquet, thank you for your
participation and support. Each year, we learn a bit
more of what NOT to do and what works best.
Perhaps one day, we will get it ALL right!

One huge mistake I made was on the donation
forms. I failed to leave a place for people to sign up

grow, so does the need for volunteers to step up and
meet that number with the GIFT of cards for
